ABOUT AIKI NAIHO KYOKAI (合気内法協会) LEIDEN
This group, based in Leiden in the Netherlands, is dedicated to exploring the body organization and internal mechanics that supports effective movement, techniques, and power generation in BUJUTSU (武術)—the classical Japanese martial arts. Our focus is especially on AIKI (合気) principles as found in arts such as AIKIDO (合気道), DAITORYU (大東流), AIKJUJUTSU (合気柔術), and other KORYU (古流) or traditional Japanese RYUHA (流派).
We train according to the methodology and curriculum of SEIDOKAN (静動館), the “school of stillness and motion.” This approach does not depend on conventional muscular strength. Instead, it uses precise drills to gradually develop whole‑body connection, alignment, internal power, and the ability to control an opponent upon contact—what is often referred to as AIKI (合気).
Because this method emphasizes subtle internal skills rather than physical force, it is accessible to anyone interested in the deeper mechanics of internal martial arts and their many practical applications, regardless of previous experience or background.
WHAT IS SEIDOKAN (静動館)
Seidokan - The School of Stillness and Motion, is a modern Japanese martial art founded by Robert John Sensei to systematically develop the highly valued skills known within the Japanese Martial Arts world as Aiki.
By combining traditional methods derived from Japanese Koryu as well as Kenshinryu-jiujitsu together with modern sports science, we offer a unique experience that makes high level skills accessible to everyone.
Seidokan's curriculum includes work on Posture, Conditioning Work, Weapons Work, Partner Work to develop Aiki, and Sparring.
